▪What is DetomSite Campus Eats?

DetomSite Campus Eats is a campus food delivery website — students order from registered kitchens inside VIT-AP with no delivery charge and collect food at the Main Gate pickup point.

The UI feels familiar like Swiggy or Zomato: search, category filters (Biryani, Tiffins, Fast Food, Combos), ratings and “Open Now” status, and a menu for each kitchen — but the flow is optimized for campus life (night batch timing, campus badges, vendor count).

What we built

An end-to-end student ordering experience — from discovery to cart — with multiple campus vendors.

Personalized shops hero

Greeting by student name, campus delivery point (VIT-AP Main Gate), zero delivery fee messaging, and night-batch order window — so users know exactly when and where food arrives.

Search & discovery

Global search for dishes and kitchens (biryani, dosa, snacks) plus category pills and Recommended sort — fast browsing across 13+ vendors.

Kitchen listing cards

Rich cards with photos, Open Now badges, ratings, ETA, hours, cuisine tags, and View Menu — same patterns students expect from Swiggy/Zomato, tuned for campus.

Cart & orders

Header cart with live item count, Orders history, and Explore flow so repeat orders stay one tap away during busy class breaks.

Student auth

Signed-in experience with profile dropdown — orders and cart tied to the campus account, not guest chaos.

Mobile-first UI

Green campus brand, rounded cards, sticky filters, and responsive grid so the app works on phones between classes.

How we built it

    Discovery

    Mapped campus flow: hungry student → search/filter → pick kitchen → cart → pay → pickup at Main Gate.

    Design

    Friendly food-marketplace UI with DetomSite green, kitchen photography, and clear open/closed + rating signals.

    Build

    Shop listing page, filter bar, search, cart state, and vendor cards — deployed on Vercel for the student app.

    Live with multiple kitchens (biryani, fast food, tiffins) and QA on search, filters, and menu navigation.
